FortNexShield (“FortNexShield,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) helps businesses compare, select, and implement physical security, cybersecurity, and managed security solutions from vetted third-party providers. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use fortnexshield.com (the “Site”) or contact us for a consultation, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
Read this policy alongside our Terms of Service and Disclaimer. By using the Site or submitting an inquiry, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
FortNexShield acts as a security advisory and brokerage. We assess your needs, recommend suitable providers, and coordinate implementation. We are not the end provider of every product we recommend, which shapes how your data moves (see Section 5).
For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact us:
- Email: contact@fortnexshield.com
- Phone: (236) 235-0836
If you are in a region with a data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to that regulator (see Sections 8 and 9).
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
You share this when you fill out our contact form, request a free security assessment, book a call through Calendly, or email us:
- Name (first and last)
- Business email address
- Phone number
- Company name and role, where you provide it
- The message or security requirements you describe
- Meeting details you select when scheduling
2.2 Information we collect automatically
When you browse the Site, we and our analytics and advertising partners collect technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies:
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages viewed, time on page, scroll and click behavior, and referral source
- Session recordings and heatmap data that capture how you move through pages
We use these tools for this:
| Tool | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Traffic and behavior measurement | Usage data, cookies, device data |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session recordings, heatmaps | Interaction data, cookies |
| Google Ads / advertising pixels | Ad measurement and remarketing | Cookies, device identifiers |
| Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Ad measurement and remarketing | Cookies, device identifiers |
| Calendly | Meeting scheduling | Name, email, meeting details |
| Contact form tool | Inquiry capture | Contact details you submit |
Some of these partners set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies. See Section 6.
2.3 Information we do not collect
The Site has no account login, customer portal, or password-protected area. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment card details through the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule your consultation
- Assess your security requirements and prepare recommendations
- Introduce you to suitable third-party vendors, with your consent (see Section 5)
- Send you service updates and, where permitted, marketing communications you can opt out of at any time
- Measure and improve Site performance and our advertising
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
We rely on these lawful bases where GDPR or similar law applies: your consent (for marketing and vendor referrals), our legitimate interest in operating and promoting the business, performance of a contract or steps you request before one, and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Marketing communications
If you inquire or opt in, we may send follow-up and marketing emails about relevant security services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email contact@fortnexshield.com to opt out. We process opt-outs within 10 business days. These practices follow the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), including the consent and identification requirements those laws set.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
Because we operate as a security broker, our core service involves connecting you with third-party vendors. Here is how that works:
- Vendor referrals require your consent. We ask for your permission before we share your contact details and stated requirements with a specific vendor or implementation partner. You can decline, and you can withdraw consent later.
- Service providers. We share data with vendors that run our own operations, such as analytics, advertising, scheduling, email, and hosting providers listed in Section 2.2. They process data on our instructions.
- Legal and safety. We disclose information when law requires it, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FortNexShield, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If FortNexShield is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We do not authorize any partner to use your information for their own unrelated marketing without a separate consent from you.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies, pixels, session-recording scripts, and similar technologies for the purposes in Section 2.2. Categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies that keep the Site working
- Analytics cookies that measure traffic and behavior
- Advertising cookies that support measurement and remarketing
You control cookies through your browser settings and through any consent banner we present. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and you can adjust ad personalization through Google and Meta ad settings.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep inquiry and consultation data for as long as we work with you and for a reasonable period afterward to serve you again, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. We keep analytics and advertising data for the retention periods our partners apply. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Your privacy rights
Your rights depend on where you live. We honor verified requests regardless of location where practical.
8.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Submit a request to contact@fortnexshield.com.
8.2 EU, EEA, and UK residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8.3 Canadian residents (PIPEDA)
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. You may also raise concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise any right, email contact@fortnexshield.com. We verify your identity before we act and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
9. International data transfers
We operate across multiple countries, and our partners may process data in the United States and elsewhere. When we transfer personal information across borders, we use safeguards required by applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
10. How we protect your information
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the data we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Tell us right away if you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure.
11. Third-party links
The Site links to vendor sites, social media profiles, and scheduling tools we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before you share information with them.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. We post the revised version here with a new effective date. We may also announce significant changes by email or a Site notice. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
